Amazing property for sale near Airport in the City of Zanesville and the Port Authority move closer to a deal to market two pieces of property.
The acreage near the airport includes 28 acres of city owned property and eight acres of property owned by the Port Authority. Since the properties adjoin each other the plan is to sell it as one unit.

"With a lot of the activity begin east of us in the oil and gas industry it will be nice to have a site very close to the interstate where there is a lot of flexibility and utilities are in place," said Port Authority Executive Director Mike Jacoby.

Jacoby said a plan shows if a company moved the minimum amount of dirt it could put a 165,000 square foot building on the property. "When we sell it whenever that may be the city will basically get a portion or share of the proceeds," explained Jacoby.

For the agreement to become official it must be voted on by City Council. The agreement would last one year and Jacoby said they are hoping to get $25,000 an acre.
